Hazel Frances Lyons Eickhoff  Born November 1, 1926; passed away at her home April 8, 2020. Wife of the late Hobart Lyons and the late Henry Eickhoff; mother of Hobart Ronald (Dawn) Lyons, Linda (Gary) Scott, Richard and Darryl Lyons and the late Roger Lyons; grandmother of 9; great-grandmother of 8. Hazel was a graduate of St. Joseph Mercy School of Nursing, Mt. Clemens and worked as a Nursing Clinical Instructor at Mercy School of Nursing of Detroit for over 30 years. She shaped the lives of many nurses and maintained her nursing license until she was 90 years old. Hazel was a proud resident of Waterford Township for over 70 years, a member of Waterford Baptist Cathedral and a member of Waterford Seniors. She enjoyed playing cards at the C.A.I. and was a second mother and aunt to many. Special thanks to Dr. Matthew Cotant and his wonderful nurses Tammy and April. Heartfelt thanks to St. Joseph Mercy Hospice, Beth, Deb, Regina, Trudy, Cammie and everyone else. Please make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or St. Joseph Mercy Hospice. A memorial Celebration of Hazel's Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Waterford Baptist Cathedral, 2640 Airport Rd., Waterford, MI 48329. The family will receive freinds at the church 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
