Marilyn Christine "Chris" Evans (Noskey)  of Abbeville South Carolina; formerly of Union Lake and Waterford; December 10, 2021; age 64; born November 8, 1957 in Pontiac, MI daughter of Gloria and the late Jack Noskey; mother of Angie Vrtis, Daniel Evans (Julie) and Krystal Jesse (Josh); grandmother of Kristin, Adam, Daniel, Dylan, Jordan, Ivy, Krystina and Xander; great-grandmother of Elaina; sister of Patrick Noskey, Sue Presnell (Dave), Sally MacShara (Kevin) and the late Michael Noskey; former wife of Mike Evans; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Chris was a 1975 graduate of Waterford Township High School. After high school she went on to become a state licensed cosmetologist working at salons in the Waterford area and was also the hairstylist for Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home and Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home until her retirement. She also worked with her mother and brother at his insurance agency finding people great rates for auto insurance. From there she went on to become a state licensed real estate agent and very much enjoyed finding people the home that was perfect for them, and working for a quick sale of their current residence. After real estate she was the secretary at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home until her retirement. Chris was a person who enjoyed a wide variety of activities all of her life beginning with growing up on Union Lake where she loved the neighborhood beach lot, summer and ice fishing with her father, snowmobiling and ice skating out to his fishing shanty. Her fishing enjoyment was not limited to just Union Lake she loved the weekend trips to the St. Clair river fishing and staying in the camper as well as fishing the great lakes. The best part however was getting the fresh fish home and calling the whole family over for many wonderful dinners. She also enjoyed bowling and was on many leagues and competed in many tournaments. She enjoyed writing poetry for competition and for and about many family members. Craft shows were another one of the things she enjoyed going to and decorated the house for every holiday and quite often never the same way every year she would always make changes and improvements each year. Around 1974 her parents bought a one room cabin in Harrison, MI it had no electricity propane lights and refrigerator and you had to go outside and pump the water. You wouldn't think a teen age girl would be thrilled with those conditions but it was pretty much love at first sight. Weekends in the woods in Harrison riding motorcycles and 4 wheeler's on the 30 acres of trails, cooking wonderful dinners on a open campfire, eating in the screen house, have all become treasured memories to those who were there to share this with Chris and Nana & Papa. That cabin with lots of hard work over the years turned into her parents retirement home. The cabin turned into a beautiful home but the good times stayed the same. As it turns out this summer Chris went back to the home in the woods after being away for many years with Krystal, Josh Krystina and Xander her mother and sisters and it was great experience for all. Krystina and Xander got to experience the things that their nanny and mom grew up with and they did not want to leave. We will all be forever grateful that we got to do that. she also enjoyed camping in the travel trailer with her family and all the pets. An when she had to slow down a bit she enjoyed making her own crafts for their home and family and just to give to friends. And last but not least she sure enjoyed her trips to the casinos. A Memorial Celebration of Chris's life will be held in Michigan in the spring of 2022.
