Steven Lee Merrell  59; of El Paso, TX (formerly of Michigan) died Sunday, July 9, 2017. Born February 17, 1958 in Pontiac, MI, to Bobby and Leona Merrell, eldest of two siblings. Steven graduated, Kettering High School, class of 1976. Following in his father's footsteps, became gainfully employed with GM. Steven respectfully served Our Country from 1982-1986 aboard the USS BELLEAU WOOD with an Honorable Discharge. In the "90's", Florida bound pursuit...Launching a "Charter Fishing" service, obtaining his Captain's license. Years later, Texas climate, land and lifestyle won his heart and homestead. Always with his tinkering tool belt on, Steven would be working on one or more objects at a time. If "IT" was broken, needed repair/profit potential, "IT" was a Goldmine Find. Motto "I will...fix IT". Steven co-owned "Father and son Dist." With his father, Bobby Merrell. Their enjoyed conversations/activities revolved around; assorted favored shotguns, vintage revolvers, pistols, reloading bullets, vintage cars, and Father's pipe collection. Of course, pertinent "IT" objects, detailed discussions for restoration, opened collaboration. Steven is survived by his sister Kimberly, nephew Schuylor, Schuylor's son/Aiden, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
