Charles Leonard "Chuck" Laflin  age 94; of White Lake, MI; passed away August 8th, 2017. Chuck was born September 3, 1922 in Crab Orchard, Nebraska. Son of the late Clay and Lucy Laflin and a family of nine Brothers and Sisters. Chuck was married to his late wife Angie of 73 years. Chuck is survived by, daughter Gloria Zielesch, son Bob Laflin and his wife Donna, grandsons Ryan Laflin and Tony Laflin, sister-in-law Joanne McCaslin, brother-in-law Frank Roselli and his wife Lila and several nieces and nephews. Chuck is a WWII Navy veteran and served on a Mine Sweeper the USS Swift and saw action in the D-Day Normandy invasion. He was the owner and operator of several Gas Service Stations and Repair shops over a long work career spanning over 55 years in Pontiac Michigan including Laflin Brothers Marathon Service, Huron Gulf Service on Huron St, Laflin’s Shell on M59 and Pontiac Lake Road and Chuck and Ken’s Marathon on Elizabeth Lake Road.A Celebration of Chuck’s Life will be held Monday, August 14, 2017 11:00 a.m. at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home, Waterford. Pastor Daniel J. Wine officiating. Interment with honors to follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Clarkston. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home Sunday at 4-8 p.m. and Monday 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Alzheimer’s Foundation in honor of his wife Angie Laflin.
