Homer Lee Hassenzahl  Age 70; on Saturday April 16, was received into the Savior’s arms. He leaves behind his wife Jacqueline of forty-nine years and two loving sons David (Kelly) and James (Kim). He has seven granddaughters, Abigail, Lydia, Elena, Carys, Genevieve, Edith and Lilianna. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Jack (Rose), Ruth (Gary), Bob (Shirley) and Lawanda (Jim). His sister-in-law Deanna (Bill) and brothers-in-laws Larry (Carla), Phillip and Clay, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was a mathematics teacher in Bloomfield Hills School District for 35 years. In retirement he enjoyed traveling, bowling and golfing with his winters spent in the Florida home. He was a family man devoted to his faith. He was an example of a Christian life. He was a deacon for many years and served as a Chairman of the Deacon Board at times. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. There will be a viewing Tuesday April 19, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home, 5391 Highland Rd., Waterford, MI 48327 (248) 673-1213 . There will be additional time for viewing Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Woodside Bible Church, 9000 Highland Rd., White Lake, MI 48386 followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. A luncheon will immediately follow and a graveside service will follow at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association. Envelopes available at the funeral home and church.

Visitation: Tuesday, April 19, 2016 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Wednesday, April 20, 2016 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Woodside Bible Church.
