Edward Lee Hunt  of Waterford, Michigan; passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Gulfside Center for Hospice Care at Heather Hill in New Port Richey, Florida. Lee was born on August 4, 1922 in Fisk, Missouri to Ben and Lucy Hunt. At age 18 he moved to Oxford Michigan where he managed Devon Acres Farms North and South for 19 years achieving the award of “Dairyman of the Year in 1962.” Lee retired from farming and moved to Waterford Michigan where he lived most of his life. It is there that he served his community as a Real Estate Agent and Head Deacon at Scott Lake Baptist Church. Lee is survived by his wife Lillian of 62 years, daughters Diane Tope, Juanita Rutledge, and Laura Wilson and his son-in-law Steven Wilson. Lee was a loving father, husband and friend to all. Lee was always there to help friends and family with whatever they needed and volunteered his time with The Gideon’s International and Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home. Lee also served for 20 years as President of “Tribute to the Lord Ministries Inc.” A Memorial Celebration of Lee’s Life will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home 5391 Highland Rd., Waterford, MI 48327. Lee will be laid to rest at Perry Mt. Park Cemetery in Pontiac, MI. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial donations may be made in Lee’s name to Tribute to the Lord Ministries Inc. at 4665 Stanton Rd, Oxford, MI 48371. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
