Steve (Stephen) Antos  passed away August 23, 2015 after a long bout with Alzheimer’s Dementia, but the spirit, bravery and supreme talent of the man will long be remembered. Mr. Antos was born in Pontiac, MI on April 23, 1931, where his parents, George and Helen Antos, operated the Sanitary Restaurant on Saginaw Street from the 1930's through the late 1960s. Steve and his older brother, Peter, along with boyhood friend Kenny Davis, form a trio singing group called, “Two Sharps and a Natural”. The Trio enlisted into the Army, and served in Korea. Luis Tulianello, a new Army buddy, joined the boys and they became, “The Four Joes”. After their military duties, the Four Joes continued performing all around the country, opening for many popular entertainer headliners of the era. With the onset of rock and roll, the group broke up by 1960 and Mr. Antos went on to work in sales at Thomas Furniture in Pontiac, MI and later at Detroit Biomedical Laboratories in Rochester Hills. He retired in 2010 and in 2014, he left metro Detroit to live with his sons Stephen and Michael, and his grandson Josh in Las Vegas, NV. Steve passed peacefully and comfortably with his entire, “Las Vegas Family” by his side. Mr Antos was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Peter, and two wives, Nancee and Janice. He is survived by his children, Stephen and Michael, his grandchildren Courtnee and Joshua; his daughter-in-law Pamela Antos-Chester; his,”adopted son”, Antonio Beverly; and his sisters Bessie (Capsalis) and Stella (Antos-Romeos). Funeral Service Saturday, August 29, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Bloomfield Hills. Rev. Fr. Joseph Gingrich officiating. Entombment with Military Honors to follow at Ottawa Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home, Waterford, Friday from 6-8 p.m. and at the church Saturday 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Trisagion Service Friday 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association- Michigan Chapter (1-800-272-3900), Memo: Research Department in memory of Steve. Envelopes available at the funeral home and church.
