Marlene Joan Struckman  Passed away on June 11th, 2015 at the age of 64. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marie Moriarty, and a younger sister Catherine Moriarty. She is survived by her husband Thomas, children Jamie Struckman and Michael (Rebecca) Struckman, one granddaughter, Peyton Bailey Struckman, sister Janice (Ron) Baker, half sisters Shirley Kay Ketchen and Nancy (Bill) Autry, Sisters in Law Sharon (Tom) Cox and Nancy Schwartz. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and her long time friend and neighbor Joann Tipton, along with many other long time friends. Marlene attended Pontiac Central High School where she met her future husband Thomas Struckman. The two were wed a year after graduation on July 2, 1969, and remained happily married for nearly 46 years. Marlene worked for 15 years at the City of Pontiac Building Department and later 15 years at the City of Troy as a Code Enforcement Official. During her life she enjoyed traveling and the company of friends and relatives, especially her granddaughter. She was also a long time member of T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) and the Waterford Golden Age Club, where she was a volunteer. Visitation will be at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home at 5391 Highland Road in Waterford on Saturday, June 13, 2015, from 1 pm until 3 pm when services will be held. Donations may be made to the March of Dimes or Henry Ford Hospice Care. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
