Earl L. Hunt  age 92; born September 9, 1921;died February 10, 2014; survived by his wife of 67 years, Phyllis (Troyer); 3 children Linda Braden, Raymond Earl and Alice Cherry (Denny); 5 granddaughters, Heather Moultrup, Korynn Cherry, Gwynn Cherry, Ashley Hunt and Whitney Hunt; 2 great-grandchildren, Grace and Benjamin Moultrup; also survived by 1 sister, Nellie Darling (Neil) and many nieces and nephews; predeceased by siblings Harold, Christine, Carl, Donald and Harry. Earl served in the US Navy during WWII. He became the foreman of the Kelly Foundry and then owned Jones Typewriter Sales and Service until his retirement. He was a member of Grace and Peace Community Church, serving as trustee and singing in the choir. He was a long time member of the Pontiac Lion’s Club, as well as a lifetime member of NRA. A Celebration of Earl’s Life will be held Thursday, February 13, 2014, 6:00 p.m. at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home, Waterford. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pontiac Lions Club. Mr. Hunt’s family wishes to thank the staff at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital and especially Chaplain Linda Thompson for the care and compassion given to Earl and the family.

Visitation: Thursday, February 13, 2014, 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Funeral Service: Thursday, February 13, 2014, 6:00 p.m. at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home.
